Text 1
Businessman Peter De Savary, 53 , a property developer who left school at 16 and was a multi-millionaire in his early thirties , has told his eldest two daughters , Lisa , 28 , Who walks in public relations , and Nicola , 23 , A medical student , that he will not leave them his fortune , he has three other daughters , Tara , 11 , Amber, 9 , and Savannah, 6.
« the notion of leaving children vast amounts of money to waste , squander , lose or be demoralised by does not appeal to me » , he said .
« the will have much more satisfaction and fulfilment by using their own initiatives , creative abilities and efforts to generate their success in life . To be fed with a silver spoon and have life on plate is debilitating for a young person , they need the challenge of life , the challenge of success or failure ».
De Savary believes he has cared for his children already with a good education , a supportive home life and sound advice.
He intends to leave them a modest sum each for « a rainy day » in case of ill health or misfortune, but use the bulk of his money setting up a foundation for needy youngsters.
« the two daughters I have discussed it with want it that way .they are fiercely independent and want to create their own lives and achievement . I am proud of their robust and healthy approach » , he said .
For some wealthy people , however , the family will always come first. « I am not the sort to leave it to the dogs’ or cats’ home », said Tom Hartley , the multi-millionaire luxury car salesman who is the father of Britain’s youngest self -made millionaire (Tom Jr, 14) and three other children .  « My family is my life, I can’t think of anyone I would rather leave it to than my children.
